EDWARDS TAX SERVICE Edwards
Tax Service has been in business since
1952.
It
first opened in Hobbs at 301 N. Dal Paso until it was blown
away by a tornado on June 6th, 1991. It then moved to its
present location of 909 N. Turner. The family of Danny and
Bonnie Barrett acquired Edwards Tax Service from the former
owner in 1996. Danny
Barrett graduated in Accounting at Texas Tech University
in1979. He had been in private business doing income tax
returns for individuals and businesses since1981. He became
a Registered Accountant in 1984 and became a Certified
Public Accountant (CPA) in August 1988. Edwards
Tax Service was one of a very few firms in Hobbs that began
the program known by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as
ELECTRONIC FILING. One of the biggest benefits of the
ELECTRONIC FILING is that the tax preparer usually knows
within 24 hours if the Tax Forms are correct. ELECTRONIC
FILING is now the preferred method of filing your taxes by
the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
